The tea pot has my own design and demonstrates nicely the unique beauty of Wabisabi. The snout is not assembled separately but has been formed directly from the body of the tea pot. An integrated sieve for tea leaves is missing, as the tea is poured directly from above the leaves. The knob reflects the shape of the tea pot.
The tea pot shows a perfect harmony between shape and surface, which has plenty of ash and salt. This is one of my best tea pots.
The tea pot is well suited to prepare Japanese teas. However, when brewing the tea leaves more than once, the leaves should be removed from the pot (tea ball or sieve) or the tea must be poured completely, because otherwise the tea leaves will make the remaining tea bitter. You can find further details here, where I describe the different tea pot types.
The tea pot reminds very strongly on Japanese Shigaraki ceramic.
The handle on the right side of the snout, hence this is a pot most suitable for right-handers.
The teapot is sold without additional decoration or cups.
